What is a 3 Day Refresh and Why am I doing it!

Hello Everyone! Coming off of the Holidays has not been super easy. Getting my workouts in isnt super tough, I mean DONT get me wrong there are times when my day gets away from me and I meant to workout after the kids went to be but now its time for my Team Call and I choose to skip it so that I can be on my call. There are also times when Im like NOPE NOT TODAY, lol! Yall know me Im a mom of two, a Fire wife, I work part time out of the home, I have the same laundry, dishes and toilets to scrub as anyone and just because I coach DOESNT mean that I am any different!! We all have good days and bad days.

Nutrition, which has always been my weakness, has not been so easy to recover from. The habits I pick up towards the end of the year seem to be hanging around and I have tried and tried to get back on a more even track. Most days I dont do terrible but if there is popcorn at work I EAT IT (Caramel, Butter and Red Velvet) if there is a Cinnamon Cake donut I EAT IT, if there are ……. you see where this is going.img_8771

What I need is a CLEAN BREAK, what I need is a chance to RESET, to DETOX, to have a FRESH START! Enter 3 DAY REFRESH! My pack came in this past week and I cant wait to get started. My last round wasnt easy, Im not going to lie. I know I will enjoy all of the benefits of completing these 3 days but I also know that they wont be the same as vacation, or eating cookie dough or getting a massage.

I did my first 3 Day Refresh last March when I first got started with my first Challenge Group and getting healthy. I really enjoyed the results that I got. Not only did I lose ton of bloat, I also lost a little over 5 pounds. I found that after I was able to stay more on track with my nutrition because I had broken the cycle of the bad habits (results are a little different for everyone). This time my goal isnt necessarily to lose 5 pounds (but I mean how is gonna turn down a few lbs!) instead my goals are 1) to reduce bloat 2) create a clean break from sugar 3) DETOX all that sugar.

What does it consist of?

  • 3 daily shakes
  • a fiber drink
  • lots of filtered water
  • a wide array of fresh fruits and vegetables and healthy fats

What will your day look like?

Wake up: Drink 8 -12 oz of filtered water

Breakfast: (with in an hour of waking) Shakeology plus Fruit option

Mid-Morning: Fiber Sweep

Lunch: Vanilla Fresh plus options from Fruit, Vegetable, and Health Fats List

Afternoon Snacks: From the Fruit, Vegetable or Juice Options lists

Dinner: Vanilla Fresh plus a meal made from the Dinner Recipe lists

Do you need to prep before the Refresh?

No not technically but it is a good idea to prepare by getting in a few servings of fresh veggies the week before you get started. Shocking a system that isnt used to the amount of fiber that the Refresh offers can definitely be lets just say uncomfortable!

Can you workout?

Mild to moderate workouts are an option during the Refresh. Due to the calorie intake you want to take your workouts down a notch.

How much water?

a ton, never stop drinking! jk! kinda. You should be getting in AT LEAST 1/2 of your body
weight in ounces of water each day. I would suggest shoot for a little above this for the 3 days. You will really set your body up to be able to flush your system as much as possible the more water you get in. You will also feel less hungry because your belly will be full of water.
